Teaching Plan

The Customizable Teaching Plan is where you will find every activity needed for an amazing time of Bible Study with your students.

There are four different plans to choose from, Complete, Younger, Older, and Master Teacher. (Although activities have been carefully designed with age-appropriate behavior, topics, and learning styles in mind, you know your own group better than anyone – feel free to customize your plan to best fit your group’s personality and needs.)
Each plan is broken into three sections: Connect, Explore, and Transform.

Activity PDFs can be downloaded within the specific activity window. (Activity PDFs are the corresponding pages from the Student Book. *Books are also available in the “Resource” tab on the left side of the online Bible Study Manager.)

Connect

Connect options are fun ways to introduce each lesson's theme(s). Your choices for Connect activities include:

All Student Option—An activity to introduce everyone to the lesson’s theme
Age Specific Options—Additional activities to further peak the interest of younger and older students
DVD Option—A short video clip and discussion question to introduce a theme

Explore

Explore options are where Bible Study happens. Your choices for Explore activities include:

The Interactive Key Study—An interactive, discussion-based small group Bible Study guide, focusing on the Biblical Passage
The Master Teacher Key Study—A sermon-style Bible Study outline with key points, illustrations, applications, and follow-up discussion questions, focusing on the Biblical Passage
Age Specific Options—Bible Study activities developed specifically for younger and older students

Transform

Transform options help your students apply the lesson's truths. Your choices for Transform activities include:

Connect Activity

Connect activities get students ready to learn. Choose one or two of the activities below to introduce this week’s lesson.

Becoming Introduction

(3–5 minutes, easy set-up)
Students will read a short introduction to the Becoming series.

For All Students: Changed By Christ

(8–12 minutes, easy set-up)
Students will read a narrative about Phil Robertson (Duck Dynasty) or Brian “Head” Welch.

Becoming DVD Option: How Can I Improve Today?

(5 minutes, Becoming DVD required)
Students will watch a video clip about a young girl questioning her identity.

Younger Student Option: Defining Identity

(10 minutes, easy set-up)
Students will consider what about them makes up their identity.

Older Student Option: Who Am I?

(10 minutes, easy set-up)
Students will fill out a questionnaire to discover what makes them unique.

Explore Activity

Explore activities lead students to study Scripture. Teach the Key Study to focus on the Biblical Truth. If you choose, support the Key Study with one or two of the following activities.

The Interactive Key Study: A Defining Moment

(15–20 minutes, easy set-up)
Students will study Acts 9:1–16 to understand how Paul’s encounter with Christ radically changed his identity.

The Master Teacher Key Study: A Change in Identity

(15–20 minutes, easy set-up)
Students will study Acts 9:1–16 to understand the change an encounter with Christ makes in an individual’s life.

Younger Student Option: Flashlight Scripture Search

(10–15 minutes, moderate set-up)
Students will use flashlights to search for various Scripture references.

Older Student Option: Hello, My Name Is _____.

(10 minutes, easy set-up)
Students will dig deeper into the differences between Saul the Pharisee and Paul the Apostle.

Transform Activity

Choose one or two Transform activities to challenge students to live differently. Keep in mind that the Holy Spirit ultimately brings about change, so help students draw near to Him.
