Psalm 67:3
God’s purpose is to bless His people so that His salvation and glory will be known in all nations.
What is God’s mission in the world? What is His purpose? Drive answers these questions but goes one step further. Drive will help your students understand their role in God’s mission. Lesson 1 introduces the theme of the mission with an overview of God’s purpose; namely, that the world would know His glory and salvation. His mission is like the North Star, an immovable point to which our lives should align. God has called us to choose to join His mission. He has blessed us so we may be a blessing to others. This lesson challenges your students to begin to see just how vital God’s mission in this world truly is.
• Explore Goal: Your students will learn the connection between the blessing of God and the purpose of God.
• Transform Goal: Your students will begin to value the need to be on God’s mission.
As you prepare to teach this lesson, pray for your students.
- Pray that students will understand that God treasures them.
- Pray that students will give glory to God for His gift of salvation.
- Pray that students will be burdened to share the gospel with their friends.
