Context
Our relationship with God begins long before we draw our first breath. This passage emphasizes that God knits people together in the womb and knows the days ordained for each person before he or she is born. While we live upon this earth, we are never separated from God’s presence, as He knows everything about us—our ways, our thoughts, our actions—at all times. Even if we try to hide from God, we are unable, for He is everywhere.
Learning Goals
- Students will describe how they are greatly loved by God.
- Students will verbalize how they can be assured of the certainty of God’s presence in every aspect of their lives.
Prayer Suggestions
- Pray that God will enable students to understand the depths of His knowledge, power, and presence.
- Pray that students will see how God’s omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence display His love.
- Pray that students will find comfort and strength in the knowledge that God’s presence is inescapable.
