Students will watch a video about the definition of justice.

If your church has purchased the Linked Media Pass or the Linked DVD, preview and arrange to show the “Justice Typography” video. (If your church has not purchased the Linked Media Pass, you can purchase this single video through the “Media” tab.)
Explain to students that you are going to show a video that will introduce the theme of the next six weeks of lessons. Show the “Justice Typography” video at this time. Afterward, ask: How was justice defined in this video? (Answer: being just, right, and fair) Do you think that’s a good definition? Why or why not? Allow students to respond. Then explain that much of what we understand about the concept of justice is based on our American legal system. Say: For the next six weeks we’re going to seek to understand the concept of justice by exploring how God views it.
