CHAPTER 1: Dreams and Dreamers

Share that, in chapter 1, author Sammy Tippit explains the difference between our dreams and God’s dreams. He writes, “When our dreams flow from the heart of God, lives will be transformed, believers will grow in their faith and God’s kingdom will increase rapidly.” Read Proverbs 29:18 about how to dream God’s dreams. Discuss:

• When have you’ve recognized God’s dreams in your lives?
• Why is it important to ask for dreams: “Is this a good idea, or is it a God idea?”
• What steps could we take to make sure that we’re hearing God’s dreams and not our own?

KEY: A dream that has been birthed by God will always place us on the path to obedience to the Word of God.

Briefly share Tippit’s experiences when people used the internet and social media to help his ministry reach more people. Note that these experiences helped Tippit see God’s dream for reaching more people. Discuss:
