Students will discuss Jesus’ purpose for coming to earth and their responses to Christ’s death.
Learning Goal: Students will verbalize their response to the resurrection of Christ.
After examining the different ways that the people in these verses responded to the truth of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead, point out that everyone who hears these accounts also has an opportunity to respond to these truths. Lead students to discuss the following questions:
Point out that all people have to decide how they will respond to Jesus’ act of sacrificing His life for them. Lead students in silent prayer, with these prompts:
Close by praying: Lord, we all have to make a decision of what our lives will be like, how we will live our lives, and whether we will give You full control over our lives. Help us, Lord, to understand what all this means, when we make our decision to follow You, and as we live our lives out every day as Your disciple. Amen.
