Master Teacher Core Study: Growing Faith
(15–20 minutes, easy set-up)
Print one copy of the Master Teacher Outline for your use. Provide a copy of the Learner Worksheet and a pen for each learner.
Pass out pens and copies of the Learner Worksheet. Use the Master Teacher Outline to teach James 1:2-4, 12-17. Then, lead learners to discuss the following questions:
- Given the chance to go through a trial or avoid it, what would you do and why?
- What have you learned about God and yourself through the trials you have faced?
- What are some ways to protect yourself against the many sources of temptation that you face each day?
- If every good thing comes from God, then why does God allow us to experience difficult times?
