Master Teacher Core Study: The Cheers of the People
(15–20 minutes, easy set-up)
Print one copy of the Master Teacher Outline for your use. Provide a copy of the Learner Worksheet and a pen for each learner.
Pass out pens and copies of the Learner Worksheet. Use the Master Teacher Outline to teach Luke 19:28–40. Then lead learners to discuss the following questions:
- What does the response of the colt’s owner say about his understanding of who Jesus is?
- How does our obedience to Jesus’ commands affect what people believe about Jesus?
- What made it impossible for Jesus’ disciples to keep silent?
- How might we be similar or different from Jesus’ disciples in this way?
