Relational: Learning about Jesus

(5–8 minutes, easy set-up)

Ask: How did you learn about Jesus? Encourage learners to share stories and memories about how they first learned about Jesus and who taught them. (Note: While many learners may have first learned about Jesus as a child, others may not have learned until they were adults, so make sure all feel comfortable sharing their stories.)

After experiences have been shared, explain that in today’s study, learners will have the opportunity to examine how people who witnessed Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem identified who Jesus was.
