Learners will consider why they most like to be with certain people.
Divide learners into groups of three or four and encourage them to share within their groups the person they most like to be with and why. Allow four or five minutes for discussion, call time and urge volunteers to share the reasons for why that person is important to them. (Possible answers: they feel safe with them; they enjoy their company; they can trust them; they love them.)
State that God chose to be with us as well, and loved us so much that He sent His Son to be God with us. Explain that today’s lesson will allow learners to explore this part of the birth of the Christ-child.
