(5–10 minutes, easy set-up)
Provide a dry erase board and markers.
Invite learners to describe a time when they witnessed another believer’s commitment to worship God under restricted or difficult circumstances. (Examples could include teachers or coaches who pray with students, people who risk their boss’s anger for sharing faith at work, people who worship God despite the problems in their lives.) Ask: How was God glorified in those circumstances? What impact did their commitment to worship God despite challenges have on the people around them?
Next, invite learners to identify any circumstances they currently face that would restrict or challenge their public worship of God. Ask: How has the faithfulness of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego bolstered your desire to worship God even when facing challenges? How do you think God can use this situation in your life to reveal His glory to you? To others who witness your faithfulness?
Conclude by encouraging learners to offer sentence prayers supporting each other as they commit to faithfully worshiping God in all circumstances.
