Deeper Discussion

(5–10 minutes, easy set-up)
Students will discuss how to thank God for the blessings in their lives.

Learning Goal: Students will evaluate their own responses to God of gratitude for the blessings He has brought to their lives.

Lead students to discuss how they respond to God’s blessings with the following questions:

In what ways do you consider yourself blessed?
Where do you think those blessings come from?
Can you think of times when you were blessed, but failed to recognize it at the time? When did those blessings become more apparent?
How do you show God you are thankful for what He does in your life?

Divide learners into groups of two or three and encourage them to evaluate their willingness to show gratitude to God in their life’s circumstance. Encourage learners to close by praying for each other to be thankful for God’s provision and deliverance.
