Say: Like Gideon, our obedience and our prayers can be propelled when we make a deliberate choice to trust God when we feel tempted to doubt Him. Let’s consider the words of this well-known hymn as our closing prayer.

Lead learners to read the first verse silently, dwell upon it for a moment, and then read it aloud in unison. Continue in this manner until they have read and recited aloud all five verses. Close in prayer, acknowledging that God is sufficient and will use insecure and doubting believers for His purposes.
