Download “No Doubts.” Provide a copy for each learner or instruct learners to turn to that page in the Flawed: Imperfect People Used by God learner book. Provide pens.

Say: We cannot always see in ourselves what God sees in us. Distribute copies of “No Doubts” and pens. Say: In the first column list things about yourself that you doubt God could ever use. In the second column list a specific way that God could help you conquer each doubt so that it would no longer stand in the way of Him using you.

After a few minutes, say: God can turn doubt into certainty. He can transform you from insecure and doubting into the bold and confident person He needs to accomplish His purpose. Discuss that Gideon did not recognize his own value, but his doubt did not keep God from using him. Ask: Do you ever see yourself like Gideon, doubting that God would really ever use you? How would you respond if an angel showed up and called you “mighty warrior”? Would you drop your doubts and follow God?

Share that our might rests in our ability to trust God. But God’s might is not diminished by our doubt.
