Master Teacher Core Study: Jesus is the Fulfillment

Print one copy of the Master Teacher Outline for your use. Provide a copy of the Learner Worksheet and a pen for each learner.
Learners will study Matthew 5:17-20 to understand how Jesus affirmed the significance of the Old Testament.

Use the Teaching Outline to teach Matthew 5:17-20. Then, lead learners to form small groups and discuss the worksheet questions:

What opinions do people today hold about the Old Testament?
Why is it important that Jesus fulfilled the requirements and prophecies in the Old Testament?
How has Jesus’ affirmation of the Old Testament changed the way you view its importance?
How can you use Jesus’ fulfillment of the Old Testament to share the gospel with others?
