High School: Group Fellowship Time

Mission Impossible Verse Assembly
Supplies Needed: Index cards, pen, envelopes

Teacher Note: Before class, write the following verses on index cards with one word per card (but do not include the reference). Place each verse in a separate sealed envelope.

• “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us”
  (Romans 5:8).
• “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
• “Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).

Divide your class into three teams of three to five students. Give each team a sealed envelope and explain that their mission is to reassemble the verse. Next, see if they can find where the verse is located in Romans. Once all the groups have finished, invite them to share their verse with the rest of the class.

God beckons us to join in His mission. And while this mission does not involve assembling verses with index cards, it does involve sharing the message of those verses with others.
