Teacher Note: Additional activities for today’s lesson can be found on the Bible Study Manager page for this lesson. Look for the tab labeled “Extra Resources.”
Option #1
Supplies Needed: White butcher paper, scissors, washable markers
Teacher Note: Cut the butcher paper to fit the length of the table.
For this activity, gather the children around the paper. As a group, discuss some of the things God created. As the children name things, make a simple drawing. Provide markers for the children if they want to draw on the paper with you. Talk about how man can build things but how ultimately it is God who created everything.
Option #2
Have the children line up on one side of the room facing you. Each time you name something that God created, all of the children will take a step toward you. You can be very specific, such as naming butterflies, ladybugs, and pinecones. When you name something manmade, such as a car or pencil, the children will stay where they are. Be sure to emphasize that the power of God is displayed in creation.
