Today’s Treasure Verse is Romans 1:16a: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel.”
Point to yourself and say, “For I am.” Cover your eyes with your hands and say, “Not ashamed.” Next, hold both hands in front of you like you are holding a book and say, “Of the gospel.” Explain that this verse means you are not afraid to tell others the story of Jesus that is found in the Bible. The word “gospel” may be new to some children. Explain that the Gospel is the story about Jesus. Encourage the children to join you in repeating the words with the motions several times.
