(10 minutes, easy set-up)
Students will identify questions they would ask God if they had the chance.
Create a slide show. Provide paper and markers for students.
Provide paper and markers for each student. Create a slide show. On the first slide, write: “If you could ask God questions, what would they be?” Then, on the following slides, list one of the questions provided below. You can choose to use a few of these or all of these.
As students arrive, give each a sheet of paper and a marker, and then encourage them to respond to the question you have on the screen. After two or three minutes, explain that students on a college campus were asked to share their questions for God and you have those on a slide show for them. Begin to show each question on your slide show, taken from the questions listed below. Stop as you present each slide to encourage all students who have written a similar question to stand up and display their questions:
After the slide presentation, ask: How does it feel to have questions you want to ask God? Do you think He minds when you ask questions? Why? Say: One way God has provided us with answers to some of these questions is by what He has revealed to us about Himself through Scripture. Explain that in today’s Bible study, students will have the opportunity to consider some of the attributes that are a part of God’s nature.
