Learning Goal: Learners will evaluate how faith in Christ has transformed their lives.
Read the following words from the hymn “The Solid Rock”: “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.” Then ask: What is this hope? (Answer: It is peace with God because, through faith in Jesus, God forgives people and gives them Jesus’ righteous status.) Lead learners in a time of sentence-long prayers that express their hope in God’s righteousness.
