Supplies Needed: Whiteboard, dry-erase marker, Verse Stars resource page, scissors

Teacher Note: Before beginning this activity, cut out the stars from the Verse Stars resource page (see resources) and hide the stars in the classroom. If you have a large class, consider cutting out stars from two copies of the resource page.
Today’s Treasure Verse is Matthew 4:10b: “You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only shall you serve.” Write the verse on the board.
Tell your students that you have hidden stars around the room with words from the Treasure Verse written on them. Just as the wise men searched for the star that led them to Jesus, they will search for the stars that will lead them to the Treasure Verse. Once your students have found all 14 stars, help them as they work together to put the verse in the correct order. If you have time, erase the verse from the board, hide the stars again, and let the students try to put the verse together without help.
