Today’s Treasure Verse is Exodus 19:5-6a: “Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.”
Write the Treasure Verse on the board. Tell your students that they will read the verse together as you pretend to be a radio or a CD player. Pretend to adjust the volume on the music player by raising and lowering your arm. As your arm gets higher, the students’ volume should get louder. As you lower your arm, the students’ volume should get softer. Change the volume several times as the students read the verse. Once the class seems to know the verse well, erase the verse and allow the students to take turns controlling the volume.
