Prayer Option: Set Me Apart

(5–8 minutes, easy setup)
Learners will prayerfully respond to God’s call to live according to His plan and purpose for their lives.

(3–5 minutes, easy setup)
Provide a marker board and marker. Provide index cards and pens for each learner.

Review the three teaching points in today’s lesson by writing the following statements on the board:
Being “set apart” for God:

  1. Begins with responding to His call by . . .
  2. Includes living in faith today while focusing on the future by . . .
  3. Includes by being willing to surrender everything to Him by . . .

Distribute index cards and pens to each learner. Encourage learners to write out a prayer to God expressing where they are in each of those three areas by completing the statements on the board. After a few minutes, close the time of prayer by asking God to help each person understand how God wants to use them for His purposes.
