Master Teacher Core Study: A “Set Apart” Life

Learners will study Hebrews 11:8-19 to discover what it means to be “set apart” for service to God.

Print one copy of the Master Teacher Outline for your own use. Provide a copy of the Learner Worksheet and a pen for each learner. Provide a dry erase board and markers. Display the People are God's Treasure Essential Truth poster or write the statement on the board or a large sheet of paper.

Pass out pens and copies of the Learner Worksheet. Use the Master Teacher Outline to teach Hebrews 11:8-19. Then lead learners to discuss the following questions:

When and how did God first call you to follow Him? How would you describe your response?
What did you leave behind in order to follow God? Would you describe your journey as easy or difficult? Explain.
How has the assurance of spending eternity in heaven helped you cope with the challenges you have faced in this life?
What sacrifices has God required of you? How willingly did you make those sacrifices?
Why is important for believers to live a “set apart” life as a testimony to their faith in God?
