Learners will pray to ask God for strength and conviction for their fellow learners to live as sincere disciples of Christ.

Invite learners to form a circle. Remind them that Jesus’ disciples are blessed when they become poor in spirit, mourn over sin, submit to God’s will in their lives, and hunger and thirst for His righteousness. Encourage each learner to offer a sentence-long prayer based on today’s verses for the persons on both sides of them. Begin by praying a simple prayer for the person on your right and the person on your left. Then invite the person on your right to pray for the persons on his or her right and left. Continue around the circle until everyone has prayed. Afterward, close by praying that each learner in your group will experience God’s blessings in their lives and will share those blessings with others.
