(10 minutes, easy set-up)
Students will discuss how they can daily experience the presence of God.
(10 minutes, easy set-up)
Provide a dry erase board and markers. Provide an index card and a pen for each student.
Explain to students that each day provides us with an opportunity to experience the presence of God.
Divide students into groups of two to three and instruct each group to discuss the ways they can experience the presence of God on a daily basis. (Examples: through reading the Bible; through an encouraging word from a friend; by seeing a prayer answered; by sharing their life with God in prayer.) Give the groups three minutes to discuss, and then compile a comprehensive list of their responses on the board.
Distribute index cards and pens. Encourage students to write down the methods they would like to try this week. Challenge students to intentionally search for God’s presence in their lives by using these methods.
Conclude by leading students to pray in their groups, thanking God for showing His love for us through His knowledge, power, and presence in our lives.
