Students will complete an activity that deals with the mission of God in the world.

If your church has purchased the Reverb student book, preview the activity on page 14 titled “The Blessing Story.” If possible, provide a copy of the book to reference as you mention the activity to students.
Remind students that this is the first lesson of Drive, a 6-week emphasis on God’s mission in the world. Then say: Today we have barely scratched the surface of what God’s mission truly is. One way of reading the Bible is to look at it as a story of God’s mission, a story that starts in Genesis and ends in Revelation. If you have a Reverb student book available, turn to page 14 and point out the activity titled “The Blessing Story.” Explain to students that this activity provides a 10-minute overview of the story of God’s mission as traced through the Bible. Say: This is a great way to catch a vision for just how big God’s vision is. Encourage students to spend a few extra minutes this week looking over this activity as they are working through this week’s section (pages 12–17).
